New Litter Box Transition

Again once you are at the stage of ignoring the change you are ready to proceed.

New litter box transition. Mix in about one fifth new litter with the old brand. You can then get rid of the outdated one. My cats took to it with ease. Properly introducing a cat to a new box involves more than throwing the litter box in a corner pouring in the litter and hoping that everything will work out.

Scoop the litter box twice daily as usual. One approach is to put a new litter box in the new location but keep the old one at first. Gradually introduce the new litter into their regular box until you have totally transitioned and then give your cat time to get used to it. Once the same litter is in both boxes it is time to let your cat take charge.

If this continues you can bring the old litter box back to give your cat a break and then repeat the process again after a day or two. Make the new litter box much more desirable than the previous one by buying high quality litter and cleaning it twice a day. Once you decide to change to a new brand of litter you will want to make the transition slowly. Your club has made litter box go from a tedious task to a breeze.

Start by filling your litter box up with about an inch and a half of your new litter. The easiest way to transition your cat into a new litter or litter box is to keep things as close to the original way as possible when starting. My whole family loves the new litter boxes. Then top it off with about a half inch or the remaining 25 of your old litter.

Even a well trained cat can have accidents if a new unfamiliar litter box is not set up properly. Be sure to keep the litter box in the same location so the only factor you are changing is the litter itself. Now they don t mind.

There are no more nasty litter box odors that used to linger. The best strategy for moving a cat litter box is to take things slow. Whatever your reason for switching the cat litter just know there are ways to make a smooth transition without upsetting your kitty too terribly in the process. For example if you are trying out a new litter then stick with the old litter box and the original litter box location until they become used to the new litter.

Many cats have trouble adapting to change especially when it comes to litter boxes. Hopefully kitty will realize the advantages of the new one and abandon the other on his own.
