New Water Pump Still Leaking

So although i was distraught about my pump going out i bit the bullet and got a new pump.

New water pump still leaking. New seal and pump motor is still leaking. Been doing a bunch of stuff on my 87 tc aux shaft distributor timing belt water pump hoses and thermostat was finishing up and added the coolant and noticed some dripping from the upper radiator hose so tightened up the clam a little more and that seemed to stop the leak when i noticed another drip which is coming from the water pump to block. New water pump still leaking reply 1 on. The pump was still leaking from the dry side when i got the new shaft seal in the mail today.

Installed new water pump on 90 jeep. Most times the seal runs on part of the extended part of the impeller and if it s worn out then it will leak. Some of you may remember my old thread on this problem coolant leaking from my baby. Could be multiple problems.

There is no quick fix for this problem. Took it off replaced with new gasket and sealer but it seams to be leaking again. New water pump still leaking boo hoo. A weep hole leak or leak underneath the water pump will indicate a water pump failure.

But water coming out is usually on the pressure side. I pulled the pump out again and replaced the seal. Noticed antifreeze around the edges of the pump.
